"O worshipable one, just see how the peacocks that are returning to their nests are receiving You with full pleasure. These peacocks are just like the damsels of Vraja. The
cuckoos on the branches of the trees are also receiving You in their own way. The residents of Vrndavana are so glorious that everyone is prepared to render devotional service to the Lord."
(Srimad-Bhagavatam 10.15.7)
As soon as Lord Sri Krishna left the earth, Truth, Religion,
Faithfulness, Glory and Beauty immediately followed Him. Most of the demigods and other higher beings led by Brahma could not
see Lord Krishna as He was entering His own abode, since he
did not reveal His movements. But some of them did catch sight of Him, and they were extremely amazed." (Srimad-Bhagavatam 11.31.6-8)
To protect Arjuna Krishna got down from the chariot, took up a chariot wheel and hurriedly rushed at Bhismadeva in an angry mood, as a lion goes to kill an elephant. He dropped His covering cloth on the way, and out of great anger He did not even noticed that. Bhismadeva at once gave up his weapons and stood ready to be killed by Krishna, his beloved Lord.
Maharaja Yudhisthira went to the scene of the massacre. There, Bhismadeva was lying on a bed of arrows, about to pass away. Bhismadeva was endowed with the power of leaving his material body at will, and while lying on the bed of arrows that pierced his body the great warrior attracted the attention of all the contemporary elites, and all of them assembled there to show their feelings of love, respect and affection for the great soul.
